Due to pollution, we see many changes in our surrounding some of them are listed below

1. The increased rate of chemical substances in water bodies destroyed the life of marine animals.
2. People face hearing problems due to high noise pollution.
3. The use of pesticides for agriculture increased the risk of dangerous diseases. It also makes soil infertile.
4. Global warming caused by air pollution increasing the overall temperature of the earth, which also causes the melting of glaciers, ozone depletion, and climate changes.

Types of Pollution

There are mainly 4 types of pollution.

1. Air Pollution
2. Water Pollution
3. Noise Pollution
4. Soil Pollution

1. Air Pollution:

The presence of unwanted substances in the atmosphere that causes harm to human health and other living beings or damage our climate is known as air pollution.

Harmful gases emitted by vehicle and factories are the cause of air pollution, burning of fossil fuel, and natural gases emitting harmful gases such as Nitrogen oxide (NOx), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Sulphur oxide (SOx),

2. Water Pollution

Contamination of water bodies is known as water pollution, these water bodies include, rivers, lakes, oceans, and groundwater.

Cause of Water Pollution

Untreated waste material by factories and waste material thrown by humans near water bodies are the main cause of water pollution.

3. Noise Pollution

Any unwanted or disturbing noise that interferes with or harms wildlife or humans is known as noise pollution.

Noise pollution is mainly caused by machines, transport vehicles, construction sites, and air crafts.

4. Soil Pollution

The presence of harmful chemicals in the soil that can harm living beings is known as soil pollution.

It is typically caused by uncontrolled use of pesticides, industrial activities, and improper disposal of waste and plastic material on the soil.

How to Reduce Pollution.

Here are the 10 most effective ways to reduce pollution.

1. We should try to use renewable and clean sources of energy rather than relying on natural gases and fossil fuels.
2. Reduce the use of plastic bags and bottles.
3. Use a fan instead of air conditioning, the air conditioner emit Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) responsible for global warming and ozone depletion.
4. Proper Solid Waste Treatment.
5. Turn off the fans and lights when you are not using them.
6. Proper chemical treatment before poring waste material in water bodies.
7. Try to avoid a loud music system, use earphones instead.
