Greedy Dog Story: यह लघु कहानी एक लालची कुत्ता सभी लोगों के लिए काफी दिलचस्प है।

एक बार की बात हें एक कुत्ता था जो की बहुत लालची था। कई बार उसे अपने लालच की कीमत चुकानी पड़ी। हर बार कुत्ते ने खुद से वादा किया, “मैंने अपना सबक सीख लिया है। अब मैं फिर से लालची नहीं रहूँगा। ”लेकिन वह जल्द ही अपने वादों को भूल जाता और हमेशा की तरह लालची हो गया।

एक दोपहर, कुत्ते को बहुत भूख लगी थी। उसने कुछ खाने के लिए देखने का फैसला किया। उनके घर के ठीक बाहर एक पुल था। “मैं जाकर पुल के दूसरी तरफ भोजन की खोज करूँगा। वहां का भोजन निश्चित रूप से बेहतर होगा। उसने खुद से सोचा।

वह लकड़ी के पुल के पार चला गया और भोजन के लिए इधर-उधर सूँघने लगा। अचानक उसे कुछ दूरी पर एक हड्डी पड़ी मिली। “आह, मैं खुश किस्मत हूं। यह एक स्वादिष्ट हड्डी लगती है, ”उसने कहा।

ज्यादा समय बर्बाद ना करते हुए, भूखे कुत्ते ने हड्डी उठाई और बस उस हड्डी को खाने हि वाला था, जब उसने सोचा, “कोई मुझे इस हड्डी के साथ यहां देख सकता है और फिर मुझे उनके साथ यह हड्डी साझा करना होगा। इसलिए, उसने घर जाकर इसे खाना बेहतर समझा। मुंह में हड्डी पकड़कर वह अपने घर की ओर भागा।

लकड़ी के पुल को पार करते समय, कुत्ते ने नदी में नीचे देखा। वहां उसने अपना प्रतिबिंब देखा। मूर्ख कुत्ते ने उसे दूसरा कुत्ता समझ लिया। मुंह में हड्डी के साथ उसके अलावा पानी में एक और कुत्ता है, उसने सोचा। लालची, जैसा वह था, उसने सोचा, कितना अच्छा होगा कि उस हड्डी के टुकड़े को भी छीन लिया जाए। फिर, मेरे पास दो हड्डियां होंगी।

तो, लालची कुत्ते ने अपने प्रतिबिंब को देखा और घुरराना लगा। प्रतिबिंब भी वापस घुरराने लगा। इससे कुत्ता नाराज हो गया। उसने अपने प्रतिबिंब को देखा और भौंक कर बोला, “वाह! वूफ! जैसे ही उसने अपना मुँह खोला, उसके मुँह से हड्डी नदी में गिर गई। तभी पानी छींटा और लालची कुत्ते को एहसास हुआ कि उसने जो देखा है वह उसके खुद के प्रतिबिंबों के अलावा और कुछ नहीं था। लेकिन अब बहुत देर हो चुकी थी। वह अपने लालच के कारण हड्डी का टुकड़ा खो चुका था। अब उसे भूखा रहना पड़ा।

Once upon a time there was a greedy dog that lived in a village. He wandered in the village looking for food. He was so greedy that he felt less no matter how much food he had.

At first he had a good friendship with the other dogs of the village, but because of this habit, everyone started to stay away from him, but he did not mind, he only meant about his food, nothing other than that. Somehow nearby people used to come and give him something to eat. He used to eat whatever they gave him.

One day he got a bone from somewhere. Seeing the bone, he was very happy. He thought of enjoying the whole bone himself alone. Thinking this, he started going from the village towards the forest.

On the way, he was crossing the river from the top of the bridge, he looked at the water of the river below.There he saw one more dog with bone having in his mouth. At that he didn’t realize that even his own face could be seen in the water of the river as reflection.

He felt that there was a dog below, with another bone. He thinks to snatch his bone too, then I will have two bones. Then I will be able to eat two bones together. Thinking that, as soon as he opened his mouth, the bone fell directly from his mouth into the river. He lost his bone and started regretting his greediness.

Moral: This story teaches us that we should never be greedy, because we will suffer with our own greed.
