Essay on Global Warming in English (450+ Words)

Global warming refers to the Earth’s average surface temperature increases over time. The theory is that the increase in global temperatures is primarily the result of human activity, such as burning fossil fuels. There is significant scientific disagreement about whether or not global warming is occurring and what role human activity plays in it.

The Earth’s surface temperature has risen by about 1.4 °C(2.6 °F) since the beginning of the 20th century. It is estimated to have risen at a rate of 0.18 °C(0.

What is Climate Change?

Climate change is the gradual increase of Earth’s average surface temperature. The climate system is a collection of physical, chemical, and biological processes that interact to create and maintain Earth’s climate.

The atmosphere comprises nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor, and other gases. These gases influence the Earth’s radiation balance, which in turn affects the temperature of the planet.

The average surface temperature on Earth has risen by 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit since pre-industrial times, which is approximately 1 degree Celsius over that same period (IPCC).

This increase in temperature has led to increased instances of extreme weather events such as hurricanes, droughts, floods, and wildfires. Climate change is also causing widespread species extinctions and damage to worldwide ecosystems.

Causes of Global Warming

The increase in CO2 levels in the atmosphere is the main cause of global warming. Burning fossil fuels like oil and coal produce emissions of CO2, which trap heat near the Earth’s surface.

This extra warmth can lead to more frequent and severe weather events like hurricanes, droughts, and floods. Scientists are still trying to determine the extent to which human activity is responsible for global warming. However, they agree that it’s happening and that we need to do something about it.

Global Warming Solutions

1. The Earth is gradually warming up due to human activity.

2. There are many ways to reduce the amount of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere, and some methods are more effective than others.

3. Some people argue that we should focus on renewables such as solar and wind energy. In contrast, others say we need to invest in nuclear power and fossil fuels.

4. No one solution is going to solve the global warming crisis. However, by working together, we can make a real difference.

5. We need to be mindful of the environment when making decisions about reducing our carbon footprint and be prepared to act quickly when necessary.

Conclusion

Global warming is a very evil thing for humans. It will cause many problems in the future, such as more extreme weather conditions, destruction of habitats, and loss of species. We need to do something about it now before it gets worse.
