On 15 August 1947, India achieve its freedom from British rule. Then after we celebrate Independence Day on 15 August every year. It reminds us of the struggle and sacrifices of thousands of people for the freedom of India. Many freedom fighters sacrificed their life for the freedom of our motherland, which means freedom wasn’t given to us many great souls are sacrificed to achieve it.

Every year on 15 August schools, colleges, offices, societies, and many private institutional organize cultural events and kite competitions one day before Independence Day, we celebrate the national holiday on 15 August throughout the country.
Britishers ruled India for almost 200 years in that period of time life of Indian people are miserable most of them aren’t able to get two-time meals a day because of heavy taxes, they used to treat Indians inhumanely, which become the reason behind the spark of freedom in many freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Raj Guru, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Subhas Chandra Bose, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Sardar Patel, Gopalbandhu Das, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Mangal Pandey and many more.
All of them fought fearlessly against the Britishers and many of them sacrificed their lives for the Independence of India. The freedom we enjoy today is not achieved easily it is the result of many consistent fights against the cruel British rulers, and many divine souls, and the blood of lakhs of people sacrificed to achieve it.
Prime minister of that time Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru hosted our Nation flag on the Red Fort in Delhi, the capital of India for the very first time to announce the freedom of India.
We achieved Independence after a year of consistent struggle for freedom. It wasn’t provided to us but we all united together to achieve it, that’s why we celebrate Independence Day every year to remember the sacrifices and pain of people during that day.
We all celebrate Independence Day across the country. Our prime minister delivers a speech and hosts our national flag from the Red Fort of Delhi. Schools, colleges, offices, and other sectors organize a cultural event where we see the play’s to portray the sacrifices of freedom fighters and common people during those days. Different people celebrate it in different different ways some people used to fly kites and play patriotic songs on the terrace. Kids have a tricolor flag on their hands, singing in harmony and joy. The markets are filled with tricolor flags a week before Independence Day.
Independence Day is an important day for all Indians, It fills us with a new energy of patriotism. People from different cast, cultures, languages, religions all enjoy this day. It makes us the world’s largest democratic country which means the common man has the power to choose the right leader for their country.
We all should be grateful for our freedom fighters because of them we live in a free nation. It is our responsibility to make India an economically stable and technologically advanced country to make India a superpower.
